Cowork

Automation without code, done by employees themselves. Cowork is the AI tool for people who aren't developers but do lose time every day to recurring tasks. Plain language is enough: Cowork handles the rest.

The role of Cowork in your IT landscape

Cowork's role in the IT landscape is task automation at the workplace itself: employees describe in plain language what needs to happen, using local files and commonly used applications, without code and without changes to the existing cloud or IT infrastructure. For IT, this is a relatively low-risk role to facilitate: the implementation threshold lies with employee adoption, not with technology or architecture.

Our approach with Cowork

  • We implement Cowork as part of a broader Modern Workplace strategy, aimed at employees who benefit from task automation but don't use developer tools or extensive AI platforms. Implementation is straightforward: Cowork runs on the existing workplace and requires no changes to the cloud infrastructure.
  • We guide adoption with concrete use cases per department, so employees can immediately see which recurring tasks they can automate. Think of administrative staff who process files daily, employees who summarize reports, or teams that manually carry out standard workflows.

FAQ

  • Which employees is Cowork best suited for?

Cowork is most valuable for employees who regularly carry out recurring tasks with files, documents or forms: administrative staff, HR teams, finance staff and employees in back-office roles. It is deliberately not a developer tool: its strength lies in the low threshold and being operated in plain language.

  • How does Cowork compare to Microsoft 365 Copilot?

Copilot is integrated into the Microsoft 365 suite and is strongest for employees who work intensively with Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel. Cowork is a desktop tool that can be applied more broadly, including for tasks outside the M365 suite, and has a lower entry threshold for non-technical users. The two tools complement each other: Copilot for the M365 environment, Cowork for desktop workflows and file management.

  • Is Cowork safe to use within our IT environment?

Cowork runs on the user's desktop and works with local files and applications. During implementation, we assess whether Cowork aligns with your organization's security policy, including data classification and access rights. Cowork has no direct access to cloud storage or company systems unless the user explicitly allows it.
